Global Times on September 13, 2017, quoting the PLA Daily, said General Song Puxuan, Commander of the PLA Northern Theatre Command has been appointed the new Head of the CMC Logistical Support Department. It quoted the PLA Navy website as reporting that Qin Shengxiang has been reassigned as PLA Navy Political Commissar. 

(Comment: Lt General Qin Shengxiang participated in crushing the June 3-4, 1989 Tiananmen 'incident'. He served in the 64th Group Army, is young and reputedly close to Xi Jinping.)
