The list of members of the new CMC of the CCP was released also on October 25 morning. The members are:Chairman: Xi Jinping; Vice Chairmen: former PLAAF Commander Xu Qiliang, PLA General Zhang Youxia; Members: Wei Fenghe, Li Zuocheng, Miao Hua, Zhang Shengmin.

 

(Comment: The decision was made at the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on Wednesday. As per practice, both CMC Vice Chairmen are members of the CCP CC Politburo. CMC Vice Chairmen Xu Qiliang and Zhang Youxia are both 'princelings' and close long-time associates of Xi Jinping. Zhang Youxia and Xi Jinping's fathers fought together and were 'comrades in blood'. Wei Fenghe, born in 1954 is Commander of the PLA Rocket Force, 1953-born Li Zuocheng is Head of the Joint Staff Department under the CMC, 1955-born Miao Hua is head of the Political Work Department under the CMC and Lt General Zhang Shengmin,  is presently Secretary of the PLA's Discipline Inspection Commission, an anti-corruption body. Zhang Shengmin previously served in the 52th , 55th and 56th Bases of the Second Artillery in the Lanzhou Military Region. He was also the Political Commissar of the Second Artillery Command College for almost one year between 2012 and 2013.)
