There are 14 CC Members in the new 19th Central Committee (CC) who have a background in academics and universities especially in aeronautical sciences indicating a focus on R&D and scientific research.

There is, in contrast to the previous 18th CC, no representation from the State owned Enterprises (SoE)s in the 19th CC.
