CHINA-LEADERSHIP: XI JINPING STYLE

In his first public appearance since the 19th Party Congress, Xi Jinping accompanied by the entire 7-member Politburo Standing Committee on October 31, 2017,Xi Jinping travelled to the Party’s roots to a brick house in Shanghai’s French Concession that hosted the Party’s founding congress almost a century ago. All seven raised clenched fists pledging to “fight for communism” and “never betray the party.” In a speech during the trip, Xi Jinping reiterated “A Communist’s original aspirations should never change.” He said “Only by remaining true to our original aspirations, can we answer to history and our forebears, and win people’s hearts.”
