A 63-year old Tibetan monk, Tenga, self-immolated on November 26, 2017, in Kardze county, Sichuan province. He called out for freedom for Tibet before dying of burns. Police arrived very soon and took away his body while the authorities placed his family members in Dando village under watch and immediately imposed a communications clamp-down in the area.
