Liu Guozhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier
of the State Council, visited Anhui and Zhejiang from 9th to 11th. Xinhua (April 11) said he

operations". Liu Guozhong visited family farms, cooperatives and seed enterprises and went to
the fields to observe the growth of winter wheat, and went to the breeding base to understand
the production of aquatic products. He stressed the importance of achieving a stable and safe
supply of grain and important agricultural products throughout the year. Liu Guozhong also
visited county-level hospitals, township health centers, village clinics and disease control
