Chinese President Xi Jinping met the Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh, who is in
Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and the
two announced the elevation of bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Xi
Jinping also highly appreciated President Guelleh's attendance at the FOCAC's all summits
since its inception.
ii) Chinese President Xi Jinping also met Guinean President Doumbouya, Eritrean President
Isaias, Seychelles President Ramkalawan, Togolese President Faure, Comoros President Azali,
Malian President Goita, Congolese President Tshisekedi, Chadian President Mohamed and
other foreign leaders attending the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
