The CCP disclosed on October 14 that former CCP General Secretary and Chinese President
Hu Jintao sent a wreath and all PBSC members except Li Qiang (who is in Pakistan) attended
the farewell ceremony for Wu Bangguo at Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. The stateowned
CCTV (October 14) said during Wu Bangguo's serious illness and after his death, Xi
Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng, Hu
Jintao and others visited the hospital or expressed deep condolences for the death of Comrade
Wu Bangguo and extended heartfelt sympathy to his relatives through various means. The
Chinese national flag flew at half-mast to mourn the "death of Comrade Wu Bangguo" at
Tiananmen Square.
