China makes first delivery of aircraft to Nepal

The first China-made airplane has been delivered to Nepal on 27 April. A 58-seater airplane called the Modern Ark 60 (MA60) touched down on Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the country’s capital of Kathmandu. It took off from the city of Kunming with two American pilots manning it. Aviation Secretary Sushil Ghimire of Nepal, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai and Chief of Nepal Airlines Corp’s Madan Kharel plus other government executives were at TIA to formally receive the Chinese-made plane.
