The Deputy Secretary of the CDIC Yang Xiaodu said on October 19, 2017, that a large number of Party cadres and members had been "severely" punished for corruption. In addition to naming Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, Guo Baxiong, Xu Caihou and Sun Zhengcai, he disclosed that atotal of 440 cadres, including 18 members of the Central Committee, alternate members, 9 members of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission(CDIC), 8900 bureau-level cadres and 63,000 cadres at the county level had been punished.
