CHINA-TIBETANS IN EXILE

On June 6, 2014, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei criticised the remarks of Lobsang Sangay, the "prime minister" of the "Tibetan government in exile" saying that the "Tibetan government in exile" will resume dialogue with the Chinese government soon. Lobsang Sangay also said that low-level talks had been maintained all along and that the "Tibetan government in exile" will again promote the Dalai Lama's so-called "Middle Way" to seek "Tibet's self-rule". Hong Lei said

"Lobsang Sangay is a secessionist and the ringleader of the 'Tibetan government in exile,' who has never done anything good for Tibetan-inhabited areas."
