CHINA-INTERNAL: IDEOLOGY

In an article in the Party theoretical journal 'Qiu Shi' on May 7, 2018, Zhu Jidong, Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of Social Security and the National Center for Cultural Studies and Secretary General of the Ideological Construction of Marxism Research, argued against the interpretation that Marxism is a foreign culture. He said since the essential requirement is of the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, which also requires a "deep understanding of Marxism", it is not a so-called foreign culture.
