The main points in the U.S. briefing paper for the first round of US-China talks on Trade in Beijing recently, which were at first leaked on the social-media site Weibo and was deleted by Chinese government censors, were: i)  drop its tariffs to match lower U.S. levels; ii) eliminate limits on U.S. investment in specific industries; iii) end cyberattacks on U.S. targets; iv) strengthen intellectual property safeguards, and v) halt subsidies for advanced technology industries.
