CHINA-ECONOMY: OIL IMPORTS

According to Russian statistics of China's oil imports in May published in the Global Times (military) in Chinese on May 26, figures showed an overall decrease of oil imports, but a steep rise in imports from Russia. They said in May this year, China's total oil imports decreased by 10.9%, equivalent to an annual reduction of 23.24 million tons; meanwhile, imports from Russia increased by 33% to a record 3.92 million tons, making Russia the largest supplier of oil to China.
