China-Taiwan: 50 PLA Navy ships go through Taiwan Strait

Taiwan Defense Department sources reportedly disclosed that on June 20 and 21, 2018 a total of 50 PLA Navy ships including the "Chinese Shendun 中华神盾" destroyer passed through the Taiwan Strait. According to the news report which quoted the Taiwan Defense Department, the PLA Navy ships suddenly moved south from the Taiwan Strait and passed through the Taiwan Strait at high speed. The reports said large ships of the PLAN East China Sea Fleet like the 052C/052D "China Shendun destroyer, and other models of large tonnage supply ships, 'moved in southern direction'. When the fleet passed the Taiwan Strait, they sailed as 'a dense military unit' during the day.
