A number of Officers from the PLA Army (PLAA), PLA Air Force (PLAAF), PLA Navy (PLAN) and PLA Rocket Force (PLARF) have been promoted to the rank of Major General and Lt General since June 19, 2018. 3 officers of the PLAAF were promoted to the rank of Lt General, 2 from the PLAA (Ground Forces), 1 from the PLAN and 1 from the PLARF.  In the Major General category, 14 PLAN officers  were promoted to the rank of PLAN Major General while in the professional and technical category, 3 officers each from the PLA Army, PLA Air Force, and PLA Navy, and 2 from the PLARF were promoted to the rank of Major General. All 7 recently promoted Lt Generals will be deployed in Theatre Commands.
