CHINA-ECONOMY: FOREIGN TRADE

The Customs Bureau released trade date for July on August 8, 2018. It stated that  Exports grew by 12.2% y/y – up from 11.2% in June and Imports grew by 27.3% year on year – way up from 14.1% in June.

(Comment: The US-China war still isn’t showing up in the data. The trade war officially started on July 6, so if there was going to be a significant effect on overall Chinese exports we’d be seeing it in the July data.)
