CHINA-US: VOA JOURNALISTS DETAINED BY CHINESE POLICE

Chinese authorities detained a Voice of America Mandarin Service correspondent Yibing Feng and a multimedia journalist on contract with VoA, Allen Ai for at least six hours ON August 13 evening i n Jinan, Shandong province . The two journalists were taken into custody as they attempted to interview retired 84-year old Chinese professor Sun Wenguang who was taken away by police during a live television interview with VOA nearly two weeks ago.
