CHINA-PLA: NEW DRONE BASE IN SHANGHAI

The state news outlet 'The Paper' reported (August 30, 2018) that an unmanned aerial vehicle base, the first compound in which the country officially allows drones to carry out multi-scenario testing and applications, officially opened in Shanghai's Jinshan Industrial Zone. The East China regional branch of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Shanghai's transport commission, and the Chinese Air Force's Shanghai command reportedly jointly instituted the center, which has 58 square kilometers of available airspace.
