CHINA-PBSC MEMBER ZHAO LEJI VISITS BELARUS AND LAOS

Politburo Standing Committee Member and Central Commission for Discipline Inspection head Zhao Leji met Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on September 22 while on an official goodwill visit. Xinhua quoted Zhao Leji as reporting that the purpose of his visit is the implementation of the consensus reached by Lukashenko and Xi Jinping during their meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in June to “defend the leadership core of the party and state.” He said he discussed how “comprehensive and strict ruling of the Party” is being promoted by the CCP.
