The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) announced on June 26, 2014, that 1948-born Su Rong, a Vice Chairman of its National Committee, had been dismissed on charges of corruption. He has also been stripped of membership of the CPPCC. Su Rong w Party Secretary of the Qinghai Province, Gansu Province, and Jiangxi Province between 2001 and 2013.
