CHINA-ECONOMY: STUDY TIMES ARTICLE ON PARTY BUILDING

An article authored by Xu Lejiang, Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department (UFWD), on Party building in all enterprises was published in the Study Times on November 2, 2018. He said Party building work must be promoted with the goal of administering the party strictly. He said "We must not lack the important aspect of party building in private enterprises and party building in chambers of commerce". He added "... we must thoroughly study and explore effective methods of party building in the private economy, and strive to improve the quality and level of party building work of private enterprises and business associations". At the same time Xu Lejiang said "General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the number and role of non-public enterprises have determined that party building work in non-public enterprises is becoming more and more important in the entire party building work. At the same time, it is emphasized that social organizations are extensive and it is very important to strengthen the party building of social organizations".
