The state-run 'The Paper' on October 29, reported that the World's Leading Scientists Forum with the theme of “Science and Technology for the Common Destiny of Mankind”opened in Shanghai on the banks of the Shanghai Lingang Lake. 35 leading scientists of the world including 26 Nobel Prize winners, many world-renowned academic award winners, nearly 40 academics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and outstanding young scientists from China and abroad attended the forum. Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
