Coinciding with the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), which revealed the largest yet 12.2 per cent increase in the national defence budget, the PLA announced that it will conduct live ammunition shooting in the Bohai Sea on March 6 and-7, 2014. PLA AIR FORCE (PLAAF)
Separately, the PLAAF earlier announced that it had formulated actual-combat training missions for 2014, which includes the compilation and revision of the 'Outline of Military Training and Evaluation' and raising actual-combat training standards.
