CHINA-PLA: CHINA DEVELOPS NEW PLASMA WEAPONS

Chinese experts announced that they are beginning to develop new types of weapons and plasma guns. Russian experts commented that they are not "revolutionary breakthroughs". In the announcement of the procurement information on weapons and equipment of the whole army announced by the Chinese People's Liberation Army on February 13, a large number of information on high-tech equipment was revealed. The two pieces of information about  "plasma artillery"  namely the "Magnetized Plasma Artillery Principle Test and Test System" and the "Magnetized Plasma Artillery Principle Test Launch System" tender notice immediately attracted the attention of military enthusiasts. Afterwards, many Chinese official media and well-known military websites used "China to develop the world's first magnetized plasma gun, the speed of the projectile reached 9000 kilometers"; "Magnetized plasma guns open bidding, black technology to alleviate China's lack of fire phobia", etc. These reports said, "This is another new concept artillery after the successful development of the Navy large-caliber electromagnetic railgun and the army small-caliber electrothermal chemical gun. It has created a human artillery technology, followed by gunpowder technology before the gunpowder launch, after the loading line. The third revolution after the gun technology and the retreat technology. According to Chinese military experts, the technology can be applied to tanks and self-propelled artillery. With this technology, the range of a typical 155mm self-propelled howitzer will increase from 30 kilometers to 50 to 100 kilometers. The Russian "Kommersant", however, on February 20 quoted Russian experts as saying: This is not a revolutionary breakthrough. Colonel Vladimir Zaritsky, who served in the Russian Federation missile and artillery units from 2001 to 2008, commented: There is no fundamental new technology in it, and "The filling of the shell itself is crucial. Rather than sending method to target. "
