CHINA-ITALY: ITALY TO SIGN BRI AGREEMENT DURING XI JINPING'S VISIT TO ROME ON MARCH 22

Britain's "Financial Times" published an exclusive interview on March 6, confirming that the Italian government is actively negotiating with Beijing to sign the "One Belt and One Road Project" agreement during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit on March 22, 2019. It said the United States and European Union had expressed "strong doubts" successively and an extremely dissatisfied Washington directly pressured the Italian Foreign Ministry and ruling coalition to try to prevent Italy from signing the agreement. The  Financial Times report was confirmed by the personal deputy of Italian Economy Development Minister Michele
