CHINA-KAZAKHSTAN: CRACKDOWN ON ANTI-CHINA ACTIVISTS
Around 1am local time on March 9, Kazakh National Security Services (KNB) in Almaty raided the offices of human rights defender Serikjan Bilash, the founder of the Atajurt Kazakh Human Rights organization. He is being accused of “inciting ethnic hatred” against the Chinese. Authorities confiscated boxes & boxes full of first-hand testimonials from survivors of China’s concentration camps in Occupied East Turkistan (“Xinjiang”). The Kazakh government is suspected by some observers to be acting under Chinese pressure. Serkijan Bilashis at high risk of imminent extradition to China.
