CHINA-ARAB: COOPERATION IN CHINA'S BEIDOU NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The state-owned CGTN announced on April 3, that more than 200 Chinese and Arab officials, experts and business people attended the second China-Arab States BDS Cooperation Forum two-day forum in Tunis to discuss the wider application of China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) in the Middle East. Mohamed Ben Amor, Secretary General of Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), said "Satellite navigation has provided many conveniences and benefits for us, and we are determined to push forward with our cooperation." He said the establishment of the China-Arab States BDS/GNNS Center in Tunis in 2018 is an important step in deepening mutually beneficial China-Arab cooperation.
