NPC CHAIRMAN AND PBSC MEMBER LI ZHANSHU PRAISES XI JINPING'S LEADERSHIP AND HIS SPEECH AT BRI

The official Party newspaper People's Daily on May 6, publicised that NPC Chairman and PBSC member Li Zhanshu (栗战书) presided over a study seminar focusing on Xi Jinping’s diplomatic thought and Xi’s important speech at the second Belt and Road Forum (BRF). The participants of the seminar agreed that “the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core” and “the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, especially Xi Jinping’s diplomatic thought” are the two fundamental reasons why major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics (中国特色社会主义大国外交) has been able to obtain historic achievements since the 18th Party Congress. The seminar praised the second BRF as another success in the implementation of Xi’s diplomatic thought. It also unanimously agreed that NPC foreign affairs work should be strengthened and improved and must contribute more to serving national strategies and defending national interests.
