CHINA-US: CHINA'S EXPORTS TO U.S. DROP

Nikkei reported (June1) that China's exports to U.S. dropped by US$ 15.2 billion, or 12%, in the first quarter of  Jan-March 2019. An analysis by Nikkei showed that while exports of machinery, electrical equipment and some other products have shown particularly sharp declines, shipments of such goods from China to the U.S. via Vietnam, Taiwan and Mexico rose during the same period.
