Speaking at the annual Shangri'la Dialogue in Singapore on June 1, Chinese Defence Minister Lt. General Wei Fenghe dressed in full military uniform asserted that “Building facilities on one’s own territories is not militarisation.”  Wei Fenghe also warned that China would “fight to the end” with the US in their escalating trade war, and a “fight at all costs” for “reunification” with Taiwan. He stressed that  “No attempts to split China will succeed. Any interference in the Taiwan question is doomed to failure.” said Wei, dressed in his uniform of a general in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
