CHINA-LEADERSHIP: XI JINPING'S VISIT TO INNER MONGOLIA

Xinhua reported the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Inner Mongolia on July 15 and 16, his third to the region since the 19th Party Congress, when he highlighted the need to carry out the theme education of “not forgetting the original heart and keeping in mind the mission”, which is a party internal rectification campaign. He was accompanied on the inspection by Ding Xuexiang, Liu He, Chen Xi, and He Lifeng. During the visit he pointed out that 'Inner Mongolia is the birthplace of China's regional ethnic autonomy system and has a glorious tradition of national unity'. He also inspected the PLA units there and met the leaders and heads of the regiment units.
