CHINA-PLA: NATIONAL DAY PARADE WILL DISPLAY J-20s, YUN-20s, AND 16 DONGFENG 41 ICBMs

Wang Xiaohui, Executive Deputy Director of the CCP CC Propaganda Department announced (August 29) that it will hold a conference to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, when  CCP CC General Secretary Xi Jinping will deliver an "important" speech. He also said Beijing will hold a grand parade and mass parade and the CCP’s activities will include award of the National Medal and the National Honorary Title, flower baskets to the Monument to the People’s Heroes, and the “Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China”.The ceremony will be held in front of the Monument to the People's Heroes in Tiananmen Square. It was disclosed too that the "CCP’s military parade" is likely to display some new types of equipment, including the J-20 stealth fighters, Yun-20 large transport aircraft, medium-duty helicopters that have been "flying", the latest public models of the Type-15 light main battle tanks, and  at least 16 Dongfeng-41 intercontinental ballistic missiles for the first time. Official reports say the military parade will be larger than the 50th anniversary of the National Day, the 60th anniversary of the National Day, and the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
