CHINA-LEADERSHIP: ANTI-CORRUPTION FELLS CHINA'S FORMER SECURITIES REGULATOR

The CDIC announced (October 4) that the former head of the China Securities Regulatory Commission Liu Shiyu, has been removed from his post of Deputy Party Chief at the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. He was appointed to this post in January 2019. He was earlier head of the China Securities Regulatory Commission since 2016.  The CDIC announcement said Liu Shiyu will remain a member of the Chinese Communist Party. He was put under investigation in May this year on suspicion of violating laws.
