CHINA-INTERNAL: IMPORTANT CENTRAL APPOINTMENTS

The following key central appointments were announced during the past week: Li Jiheng (李纪恒) was appointed Minister of Civil Affairs and Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Affairs’ Party group; Yao Lin (姚林) was appointed Chairman of Aluminum Corporation of China and Secretary of its Party group; Wang Dongjin (汪东进) was appointed Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Secretary of its Party group; Chi Jingtao (迟京涛) was appointed Chairman and General Manager of China Grain Reserves Corporation and Deputy Secretary of its Party group; Deng Jianling (邓建玲) was appointed Chairman and General Manager of China Huaneng Group and Deputy Secretary of its Party group; and Tan Chengxu (谭成旭) was appointed Chairman of Ansteel Group and Secretary of its Party committee.
