CHINA-ECONOMY: SoE REFORM

Chairing the third meeting of the State Council Leading Group on State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Reform on November 12, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He praised officials for the improvements made in recent years. Liu He tasked policymakers with drafting a three-year action plan for SOE reform with “clear targets, timelines, and road maps.” The goal is to make SOEs more: Market-oriented; Competitive; Innovative; Influential; and Risk-resistant.
