No reports have been noticed of China sending a high-level delegation to North Korea for the 61st anniversary celebrations of the “Korean War Victory Day (the date of the armistice on July 27).North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, on the stroke of midnight between Saturday and Sunday, paid his respects to the Pyongyang Kumsusan Palace of the Sun which serves as a mausoleum to the remains of his grandfather Kim Il Sung and father Kim Jong Il.

Last year China was represented by Li Yuanchao, Vice President of the People`s Republic of China, to the 60th anniversary ceremony in North Korea.
A government official clarified that China may not have sent a high-ranking official to North Korea this year as it is anniversaries in years ending with 'zero' or 'five' that are considered important.
