CHINA-SPACE: CHINA'S SPACE ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES MISSION TO MARS

On April 24, 2020 on the occasion of Space Day for China, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of China announced the program, "Mission to Mars". The series has been named as the 'Tianwen series' and the first mission has been named as 'Tianwen-1'. 

(Comment: Tianwen literally translates to 'Sky question' and means Question from/ about sky. The name has been derived from Qu Yuan's poem 'Questions of Heaven'. Yu Quan (340 BC-278 BC) was a Chinese poet and politician who lived during the Warring States period.)
