The April 30 issue of the Party theoretical fortnightly 'Qiu Shi' published the February 12 speech that Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered at the 12 February symposium on “fighting the tough battle against poverty well.” In his speech he especially highlighted the leadership role of the Party in bringing about these successes and pointed out the existing challenges of poverty alleviation work.
