CHINA-ECONOMY: CHINA'S GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF CUSTOMS STATES CHINA EXPORTED 71.2 BILLION YUAN OF ANTI-EPIDEMIC MATERIALS BETWEEN MARCH 1 - APRIL 30

China's General Administration of Customs disclosed on May 1 that following the spread of the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic, according to customs statistics China exported a total of 71.2 billion yuan of major anti-epidemic materials between from March 1 to April 30. This included: 27.8 billion masks, 130 million protective clothing, 73.41 million new coronavirus detection kits, 12.57 million infrared thermometers, 49,100 ventilators, 124,000 patient monitors, 43.63 million pairs of goggles , 854 million pairs of surgical gloves. It added that since April, China's exports of anti-epidemic materials have shown a significant increase. The average daily export value has increased from about 1 billion yuan in the early days to more than 3 billion yuan in recent days, and has continued to grow more than three times within a month.  It said "the export of China's anti-epidemic materials has provided support and guarantee for the international community to jointly fight the epidemic situation, reflecting the responsibility of China as a responsible big country."
