CHINA-INDIA: PLA TROOPS VIOLATED LAC AND INTRUDED UPTO 5 KMS INTO INDIAN TERRITORY IN LADAKH

PLA troops violated the LAC in 5 places at Hot Spring, Galwan Valley and Gogra in Ladakh and Naku La in north Sikkim on May 5. The intrusions were deliberate and preplanned. The local PLA commanders have refused talks with Indian counterparts to defuse the situation and are refusing to withdraw. An estimated 5000 PLA troops are understood to be deployed at these locations and they have brought in heavy artillery and reinforcements as has India. The situation is tense.
