CHINA-INTERNAL: PLA ANTI-CORRUPTION CAMPAIGN

A report released by the Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy has claimed that 72-year old General Guo Boxiong, a former Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) is under investigation for allegedly taking bribes.

Guo Boxiong's colleague Xu Caihou, also a former Vice Chairman of the CMC, was stripped of his party membership on charges of corruption in June this year when his case was handed over to prosecutors.

Meanwhile the magazine 'Caijing' has as its latest cover story a report on the downfall of Wang Chuncheng, a rail and mining magnate detained in April, reportedly for his connections to Xu Caihou.
