China's English-language subsidiary of the People's Daily, 'Global Times', reported on March 15, that 35 overseas Chinese men and women with foreign citizenship had been invited as special observers to attend this year's session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held earlier this March and offer suggestions. The 35 were selected from among Chinese elites from 21 countries. They attended all five plenary sessions of the CPPCC.
