Wealthy Chinese who migrate to the US under the EB-5 programme which grants visas to those investing US$ 500,000 or more in development projects will now have to wait. The US State Department announced recently that the quota of 10,000 visas for this fiscal year had been filled for the first time in the programme's 24 year history. Chinese applicants made up 85% of the 10,000 visas granted under the programme.
