Politburo member and Director of the CCP's Foreign Affairs Office, Yang Jiechi, was in Singapore on a two-day (August 19-20) visit at the invitation of the Singapore government. He called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Yang Jiechi then travelled to Busan for talks with South Korea’s new National Security Adviser Suh Hoon on August 22.
