CHINA-EDUCATION: IDEOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN CHINA'S PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION

Writing in the China Education Daily (September 17) Jia Hongxia, Associate Professor at Beijing Open University, stressed that preschool education is the foundation stage of basic education and lifelong education. He proposed that since the preschool stage is the starting point of children's socialization, educational activities that adapt to the characteristics of children's thinking are needed to guide children to gradually form values that adapt to their own and social development. He  said "Ideological and political elements are the shaping of the personal and national value system, and its core element is "Leading morality to cultivate people." The integration of ideological and political elements in pre-school education helps to form an education pattern of knowledge acquisition, ability training, and value shaping coordinated growth to achieve multi-dimensional and all-round development of talents.
