Exchanging congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bangladesh on October 4, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that he stands ready to work with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Md. Abdul Hamid, to better align the two countries' strategies and jointly promote the construction of the Belt and Road, so as to take the China-Bangladesh strategic partnership of cooperation to new heights. He added that China-Bangladesh friendship has a long history and remains ever new over time. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also exchanged messages of greetings.
