CHINA-US: CHINESE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT CONGRATULATE US PRESIDENT-ELECT BIDEN AND VICE PRESIDENT-ELECT KAMALA HARRIS

Xinhua reported (November 25) that Chinese President Xi Jinping had sent a message on November 25, to congratulate U.S. President-elect Joe Biden on his election. The Chinese version of Xinhua reported Xi Jinping as saying he hopes the two countries can “manage differences” and “uphold the spirit of non-conflict, nonconfrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation” to advance the healthy and stable development of bilateral ties. “Promoting the healthy and stable development of China-U.S. relations not only conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples but also is the common expectation of the international community." 

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan also sent a message to US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris to congratulate her on the election as U.S. Vice President on November 25.
