CHINA-INTERNAL: LEADERSHIP/BO XILAI AFFAIR

Ann Heywood, mother of Neil Heywood who was allegedly murdered by Bo Xilai's wife in November 2011,  released the full text of a letter addressed to the Chinese Communist Party authorities, on September 11, 2014 through the Wall Street Journal. In her letter she thanked the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office for taking up the matter on her behalf with the Chinese, but regretted that she had received no "useful answers or undertakings." She said that the Chinese authorities had told her that she "could bring a civil case for compensation before the Chinese courts", which she said was unacceptable as there was no rule of law in China.
