CHINA-SCO

 Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikstan, on September 11, 2014,  for the 14th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, which will discuss regional security and economic cooperation. Leaders will exchange views on current international and regional issues of major concern. They will also sign and issue the Dushanbe Declaration, approve a series of documents on SCO expansion and pass a resolution on the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. 

 
On the sidelines of the SCO Summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj the construction of an economic corridor linking China, Mongolia and Russia. Highlighting that the development strategies of the three neighboring countries are highly compatible, Xi noted that both Russia and Mongolia have positively responded to China's vision on building an economic belt along the Silk Road.
